Text Box: Pamela J. Downing Pastor Pamela J. Downing is a native of New Haven, Ct.   She is married to Sr. Pastor Steven Downing and together they have two children Brittney and Joi all residing in Colonial Heights, VA.   She also has two step-children Keisha and Steven and (3) grand-children.  Pastor Pamela has been in ministry since the age of thirteen.  God has used her throughout the United States, Europe and South Korea.  She is a motivator and has a passion for women’s ministry in all areas.  She motivates her listeners to reach beyond their circumstances to achieve a more rewarding life. She conducts seminars, workshops and conferences throughout the states.  She carries out her mission to all to live victorious lives.  Pastor Pamela functions and flourishes alongside her husband, Senior Pastor Steven Downing founder of Victorious Christian Living Ministries (VCLM) in Hopewell, VA., where she serves as Pastor and Chief Operating Officer.  Her mandate is to encourage the people of God to be victorious in every area of their lives and always serve others in excellence.     A wife, mother, mentor, ordained minister, author, student, former business owner she understands and has a heart for all God’s people and the pressures of life.   She holds a Master’s in Theology, pursuing a Doctorate in Theology as well as a Master in Occupational Technical Studies.  She is a 2009 graduate of the USDA Executive Leadership Program.  She is currently employed as a Technical Program Manager for the Defense Logistics Agency in Richmond, VA.   In 2009, Governor  Tim Kaine of VA, and Mayor Brenda Pelham of Hopewell, VA recognized Pastor Pamela for her outstanding work in the community.   She is the founder of Victorious Over-comers of the Word (V.O.W.) Ministries.  V.O.W. is a ministry designed for the women of God to stop breaking VOWS and become a V.O.W.  V.O.W. conferences are held annually and V.O.W. success sessions are held quarterly at VCLM.  She has completed her first book entitled “Intimacy with God, a Yearly Journey of Praying God’s Word” and have begun writing her 2nd, 3rd, and 4th books respectively “Honoring Your Pastor’s Wife”, “Churches Doing Remarkable Things” and “What Comes out of Pain”. “Honoring Your Pastor’s Wife” will be released in the fall of 2009.   Pastor Pamela gives God all the glory for all He has done and continues to do in her life.  She decrees…..I Corinthians 2:9 “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him”.   Co-Pastor Pam gives God all the glory for all He has done and continues to do in her life.  She decrees…..I Corinthians 2:9 “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him”.
